TABE

The TABE, (Test of Adult Basic Education), is a test used to determine a student’s skill levels in Reading and Math. All students who enroll in the GED Program are required to take the TABE. This test is available at all Adult Ed sites, as well as being offered virtually using the student’s own computer.  

WIN

A number of businesses and Technical College of the Lowcountry programs require a career readiness credential as measured by the WIN assessments. WIN assessments are given Monday-Friday, between the hours of 8 AM - 3 PM

Pearson VUE

Adult Education is a Pearson VUE testing site, including onsite GED testing. All Pearson VUE testing, including the GED, is done Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM -3:00 PM

Para Pro

Adults who wish to become a paraprofessional in the BCSD may get Para Pro test prep materials and take the Para Pro test at Adult Education.  The Para Pro test is given Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM -3:00 PM

Best Plus

BEST Plus is an individually administered, face-to-face oral interview designed to assess the English language proficiency of adult English Language Learners. BEST Plus combines the testing of both listening and speaking skills. The Best Plus assessment is available to take Thursdays and Fridays from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM.
