For a South Carolina High School diploma, students are required to pass 24 units of coursework that meet graduation requirements. It is highly recommended that students attend an onsite computer lab class or complete the online courses where they have a personal computer and internet access. There is a minimum of 60 hours of online coursework required per unit; however, most courses take longer. Students should plan to spend at least 10 hours per week on their class.
When students are enrolled in the BCSD Adult Education diploma program E2020 courses, they are required to complete their courses within 90 days. If students do not complete their course within 90 days, they will be placed on a 30-day probation period in which they will not have access to their courses. Once the probation period has ended, they will again have access to their courses. Adult Educationwill then extendthe completion period for another 30 days. If the student does not complete the course within the next 30 days, Adult Education will suspend the student from E2020 until the following school year.
